Attention all fleet service members, some of the NEW DIRECTION TEAM will be in CLT most of the day on TUE, 27th of may! Rich Delaney, Laura Stone, Mike Crowell and Nick Handlow and more will be available to answer questions and more importantly "LISTEN TO THE MEMBERSHIP"!
So does anyone know for sure if 2nd Class has transitioned pay yet? Haven't seen a copy of that letter other than on here. This thing is very gray

Now that IS grey. Thanks AGAIN, IAM.None of us will know for sure until we get our check on June 6th. We will also see if we get holiday pay for Memorial Day.
So can we assume that this date is true? We were informed by our AGC (we are 2nd Class) that the pay transition date for us was May 30. Kinda sad that we can't even find out for sure when these transitions are taking place. Is the contract so grey that even our AGC doesn't know the correct date?

Nicholas Handlow
Assistant General Chair - four year term
Four-Year Term - A New Direction 08
Nicholas Handlow has been with US Airways for almost twenty-nine years. Twenty-six of those years have been in PIT, a year in PHL, a short term in DCA and currently he is in CLT.
Nick has served the membership as a Shop Steward as well as a member of the Grievance Committee. Nick grew up knowing the value of being in a union for wages, benefits and retirement security. His father retired from UA after twenty years and then from US after eighteen years working for stores. Unfortunately, he sees the effects of corporate greed and knows that no one can fight them on their own.
Explaining the importance of representing, organizing and politics, Nick said, "You must have knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the tenacity to see that it is followed. Organizing is the lifeblood of unions by adding strength in numbers, creating power in combating corporate America. With politics, we have to ensure we are setting personal agenda aside and vote for labor. Vote for our family's security."
Nick knows that honesty and accountability mixed with experience and desire will move mountains for the membership. He states, "A New Direction 08 is a coalition of honorable men and women from multiple carriers that are ready to listen and work for the membership."
Just one of the many Dedicated folks on the NEW DIRECTION TEAM . Anyone that knows Nick KNOWS what and WHO he stands
for . I know if I had to jump in a foxhole I would find comfort in knowing nick IS in there fighting with me.
Hit the nail on the head! Last union meeting at 1776 PHL, GS admitted he had no say so in the TA agreement. I give him credit for being truthful, but he exposed the fact that Mike Fairbank's was totally truthfull in his letter to the membership and that after 3 to 4 day's of negotiations ,neither he or anyone had any dealing's with the company! He admitted randy and rich johnson behind closed doors orchestrated the TA by themselves?????Bags,
It's not that the contract is so gray . It's the AGC's inept ability to interpret the contract without first talking to randy.
the phrase " I will have to get back to you" really means let me call Randy and see what he says. You see the AGC'S DIDN"T neg
this Rag . Randy did. they just signed off on it because they were told to.
Rich and all should be in CLT around 12 noon. they will be moving around till 5pm adressing daylite as well as second shift.Do we have times yet for when Rich and laura will be in town.
Attention CLT HERE is your chance to hear what the candidates have to say and WHAT and WHO they stand for .
sidenote: Does anyone know when Canale and his running chums will be coming to CLT .
