I don't know how the vote will be handled but if the votes are
indeed counted I will give an update. Otherwise I will give my
opinion of how things went as far as the talk and turnout.

Thanks
Appreciate it, thanks

Is the complete liquidation of this industry in the best interest of our Membership?
Can we preserve our careers as a stand alone carrier? This Membership deserves, and demands transparency to this regard!

District Force… 700… Any input?

P.S. Maybe the New Direction people will be able, and willing to communicate this posture to the Membership without ambiguity!

Sources have said Union Opposition and integration costs torpedoed the deal. Others say UAL shied away from a merger because US Airways lacks a strong international presence.
Your company is not a stand alone carrier and needed United airlines. Now there are reports about liquidation later this year. I think fleet service needs Randy Canale more now than ever. Things will get difficult for US AIRWAYS and they will have to demonstrate that they can achieve concessions before an investor will invest. Delaney is more of a hard liner and it may be difficult for him to open up your contract for additional concessions. Such a position may risk liquidation.

The IAM does not need Randy Canale. He has been one of the most destructive forces towards the membership. He walked the break rooms after stripping us of our protections in the name of merging with United and told everyone how utterly against the merger he was. Districtforce I think you are letting your friendship with Randy cloud your judgement. The fact that United, Hawaiian, and US Airways have placed major support behind ND08 has to wake you up enough to see that the membership does not want a person like Randy in the position of leadership any more. Leave the voice of the membership decide who leads us. Randy has lost our respect.

As for liquidation, Randy failed miserably in court for US Airways Fleet and his COMPLETE failure to stop the company bled over to United. As a matter of fact IMO every major corporation watched and learned from his failures and used this to tear down the work forces across the country. Randy stood by and did nothing. He is no threat to this company and because his ba##s have been clipped, they choose to walk over us like pebbles.

tell us DF why should that canale stay when all he has done is lose membership and gave the ramp the worst contract than any other air carrier and he cant even have the b@!!s to visit any station? You just dont understand that there is absolutely nothing left for fleet to give up. And I doubt that the airline is going to liquidate. The time for change is now now now Canary is not even a US member but a UA member and they dont even want him there what does that tell you? its pretty sad that a big baby has to be a big baby at the helm of the IAM

Good Grief! first you were in here pitching us on a merger and why we needed it,meanwhile Canale is sending out cards to sign against a merger(not that I would ever send that fool my contact info) this is typical of this current leadership, they speak out of both sides of their mouth ,meanwhile their hand is reaching for your wallet. They are disgusting!

Vote NewDirection08 for honesty and integrity

I have to agree 110% with cltrat on this one!

DF & 700 were so hellbent on getting this contract voted in b/c of the NEED of US to merge with UA.....and then the IAM comes out totally against the merger?????????

It just doesn't make any kind of sense. I was for the T/A b/c I didn't think they would come back to the table with anything better....and quite frankly I think I was right. But their argument all along was we needed this merger....then Randy comes out agaisnt it??

I need some answers on this please....

Everyone in ORD,

Canale is showing his love by disrespecting ORD and showing up in PHL for his send off. I wonder if our Union dues are being spent on armed guards? Local voting hours are 7 to 7 in PHL. Weather is perfect to show up and give Randy your last "dis"-respects!

esp with the thieving buffoons leading this train wreck getting 100 to 200% bonuses for their halfazz job performance

Where is the local lodge in phx? I dont even think that most the phx rampers even know about this vote.

This is typical of Canale and the way he operates. When he wanted something out of PHX he made it easy for you to vote. Now that he has gotten what he wanted he is no where to be found. We have seen this kind of tactic time and time again. Its time for a change.
