I don't think it would have been only those two choices...
If the NMB had ruled that we had to vote the choices would have been:

TWU/IAM Association
No Union
Write in option

There would not have been a choice for either the TWU or the IAM since they did not file as separate entities.

Maybe they should've...

Maybe they made their decision off of past case history. To hell with the no union option. You can take that and shove it.

And the IAM would not have been able to file so it would have been the TWU filing standalone as they represented the overwhelming majority.

To twice slay the slain,
By dint of the Brain, is but labour in vain, Unproductive of gain,
And so I shall bid you 'Adieu'!

No, not "lol." Seriously. It makes you look desperate.
Do you really think I'm going to take your advice on anything when it comes to Nelson knowing how much you support him?

Actually anything you suggest I'll make sure to do the exact opposite.

You NEVER say one thing critical about Nelson so I'm wondering if you can figure out what "very nasty" comment I'm thinking about you that I can't use on Forums?

They should've gone for it. Not doing so sent a very clear message to capital- and not a good one.
Flogging a dead horse.

AND you should go out and find your own Union before you're critical of something you don't have that supposedly you've said you want.

Go pee on your own bushes.

Annotok  you could be write had we had a vote  but the bottom line is  if we did  what third option for write in...ibt or may be a newly formed union similar to the pilots?

WeAA  i definitely agree with you on the hell with no union   in this industy its very imperative to have one vs not   I look at DL as a prime example as to why we need a union

TWU would have been written in before the Association or no union were picked...just my opinion.

Nelson said it best on that one though. Delta rampers should never organize because that would be STUPID. Delta management would crucify them. Close tons of Staions and outsource most of the work they do as well. Nelson has said it numerous times and Kev stayed silent each time so since Kev works the Delta ramp who would know better than him?

It looks like it's just going to be the rest of us watching those poor Delta peeps and shaking our heads for those poor souls.

Don't think the write in option would go anywhere Robbed. The IBT vote in your house for the mechanics only got 8 votes. If there was a write in initiative pushed any choices would wind up canceling each other out. In Fleet IMO the Association would have passed by a landslide.

Don't be so sure? Look at the voting turnout in that District for both their TA and their elections. Those people turned up in droves.

Sorry to say and be honest about this but I think the IAM at US has far more support right now than the TWU at AA has? Again very sorry to say that but I prefer to be honest and credible personally.

But you have actual numbers, right?

Those numbers by percentages for who "came out" to vote in those two IAM deals were put out. How people would have voted if we had a choice is nothing more than a guess.

Look it's all BS at the end of the day. Yea they took away any chance we might have had to have made a choice because no neither side trusted the membership that WE would have supported the Association. So they sold it to us knowing full well that it didn't matter and it was going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Is it going to be? I have ZERO clue. It's still way too early to see if both sides are going to do anything with it after we get a JCBA? I've said it before and I'll say it again "If they don't then it's a failure" But I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that both Unions know the deal and have their act together moving forward?

But pushing the agenda all the time "We should have voted, we should have voted" gets annoying after awhile when you know it's NEVER going to happen. I'll say it again. It's NEVER going to happen. This is it. This is what we got. The deck was stacked against us from the beginning and when we finally get the $$Money$$ that's it. No one is going to give a rats arse at all, period, done.

BTW I should have dumped my girlfriend when I was 25 and stayed with the hot rock and roll blond chick that I was cheating on her with but I didn't. I felt guilty and dumped the blond for the stupid girlfriend that I broke up with a year later. Spilt milk man.

As you should; being non-Union sucks.

At the same time remember what we currently have over here, and push damn hard for your NC to exceed it. All of it.

And there you have it, gang.

They took away your choice because they didn't trust you (or rather, they didn't feel confident you trusted them as as standalone organizations).

That's f'ed up.

I think you're confused? We don't have Ready Reseve and we don't pay as much for medical as you. We also don't have to worry about management harassment or maybe being fired unjustly because we're paid too much and they want to replace us with cheaper human resources.

Are you trying to "claim" you have better than us? Don't think so bro.
