Your right, this should not be causing blockholder/reserve wars. That is why I asked if that is what the original poster was referring to. I never even thought about blockholders flying forty hours. Should not make a difference either way because that is just how the job is. Tis not a 9 to 5, 40 hour work week that most can comprehend. My understanding is that at some airlines you can swap trips and drop trips to friends and theoretically not fly at all in a month as long as the work is covered. Wow, an extra six days off!
Besides, those that work forty hours would have to work eight days as I understand it!

Listen, the issues should be focusing on the future contract. Does not matter what is here today if you don't pay attention to what is negotiated (away) tomorrow.
