There appears to be a certain "disconnect" in some people's thinking. There is VALUE, but not to you, my bag chucking cohort. Unless you have a major stock position within the company, you are not likely to see much benefit, if any, of that $1.5 billion in savings outside that you might keep your job longer.

Back to "disconnect"... didn't you mention a few weeks ago about your 33 years seniority and you were going to bump-and-flush people throughout the West stations if this TA was accepted, only to mention a few days ago that you have only a few years as a fairly recent hire in SAN? People know and respect you for your lengthy service in SAN too? Tell LF that I give him my best.

If you are a fairly new hire as you just recently proclaimed, then you should be all over this contract as a big "yes" vote. Otherwise you can wait for 4 or more years on the several thousands of dollars extra every year that you could have been making instead of holding-out for an extra couple thousand dollars offered 4 years later. You aren't getting retro then or now, so put that dream to bed. Simple math... think about it.

So Returns Jester.

Your absolutely right Jester. There is no benefit to me because I was furloughed and the benefit doesn't apply to me. NEVER SAID IT DID! I'm still

officially furloughed. YES. I will wait as long as it takes for this company to be fair to it's work force. Some things don't apply to me, like the change in

control, but it does apply to alot of the other FS people IT'S all about Ethics..........I never said I was going to Bump-and-Flush only displace if there was an

opening and I got my seniority back. I never said anything about retro for me.............The language is the language and applies to those that weren't

furloughed and gave up during BK.

And yes I will say hi to Lorenzo for you.....whom shall I say is calling...........or you going to hide that from me....PM me and let me know. You want to be up

an up then lets be up an up.....Lets not mislead the readers.

You gotta have the good tequila. Jose Cuervo 1800...100% pure agave tequila.

Whisperjet did you make the meeting today? Anybody else make it? What are your thoughts?
JD, I stopped by for a few minutes,I knew they had nothing to say to change my mind, just a cameo visit on my behalf....I was unimpressed, but I really did'nt expect much....

Contract Update:

District Negotiator Speaks out

Tim,
gotta say this person has the biggest set of B*lls of anyone I have ever been associated with and having the

Full SUPPORT of close to 3,000 members just shows that HE is in this fight not just for himself (cause he has to live under this Rag)

but also for the membership

wow , you know , i think he was being truthfull with you folks .. i don't know any of you , and i wasn't there ... but can any of you tell me what you did to help get a better TA, other than sitting on your asses?

{so on and so forth}

I don't have to worry about a strike because there will never be one ...

Weren't there and yet still have an opinion, wow. Not sitting on our asses and getting the company
2 BILLION DOLLARS in reserve was what we were doing. Phl equates to over 40% of all the revenue
generated at US. Finally we will walk, yes the top scale people who understand the language of this
TA and will vote NO. You read and interpert things the way you'd like but all the talk will not help
come Thurs.

''freedom'' your posts have helped the NO vote more than you know. Any talk of your posts in our
workplace have only had a possible ''yes'' voter upset at you and your thinking and saying they want
nothing to do with that type of mentality. Thank You. Before this week there were maybe a couple
dozen yes's out of Phl and you have lessened that by at least a half a dozen. Please continue so I
can continue to show your posts, thier great.

Freedom first of all CIC is not the center piece if why I am a NO vote just one reason

as far my perspective I admit I don't know what CIC in the up coming merger will be worth just that the company thinks it is worth something you on the otherHand try to pass yourself off as a expert in labor law which of course you are not

why can you not see even if the company does not comeback we will be better off standing with UA in 09 rather than working in a poorer deal then theirs for years to come?

I’m no labor lawyer , but I did make an ATTEMPT to understand the arbiters ruling ..

Funny thing is you don’t actually KNOW that the company thinks it’s worth much .. If I was the guy working for the company I’d take out the COC just to pretty everything up and take care of loose ends .. It’s my personal BELIFE that what the company wants are the 18 FIELD STATIONS … but it’s convenient for you to ignore that possibility because it doesn’t really have an edge to it , there’s no snap backs for you or retro wages with the loss of the stations ..

We’re going to be in a better position in 09 ? If we don’t transition the west into your CBA we sure as sunshine will NOT be in a better position , in fact we will be in a far more desperate one . You think the company has leverage using class one against class two and the west NOW? Wait till the bottom drops out of the economy , we won’t be ABLE to strike here in the west and we will agree to ANY proposal that increases our wages . The same will begin to apply to YOU in the east as well , only this time it will be UNITED voting down any TA that doesn’t meet their approval …. Your going to be stuck like we are now , and this company will exploit all of us for years to come , until we decertify ourselves .

You see CLT rat , the times are not getting BETTER , but worse , that’s why airlines are shutting their doors or rushing to get with one another , do you really think these CEO’S with their CEO sized ego’s want to merge their companies with someone else’s and be second totem ?

It’s the economic trends which are driving all of this , if your like us here in PHX then you should be an avid read of the news like we are , you know market trends …. This whole economy is fairing badly and expected to get worse ….

That is the pathetic thing. He doesn't even want to be a shop steward. He has no interest in taking part in the process he self admittedly adores Doug Parker. I am half convinced that he just might be DoUgIe in disguise.

shop steward  this cat doesn't even go to his local meetings . I believe he said a while he didn't want to get involved.

He just likes to hear himself type. So the Creditability of this person is pretty much a joke.

he thinks DP is great leader (Cause he screws his employees ) and RR is the second coming . PLEEEEEEEEEEASE .

Thats the difference between me and YOU/FREEDOM............I don't jump when told to jump. I have outlasted many like you and will be here when you're

gone to greener pastures.

Where do you get 09 from.....hello ppl....again traditional negotiations won't even begin til the very end of 09 and go into 2010 to be rejected by PHL & CLT again and dragged out til.....God only knows!

Hope you like your bk wages by voting no.

A-men BD...I have talked to a few fence sitters in CLT who are now on the NO side from freedom's post...Thanks freedom keep on posting..by the way yes voters vote on FRI/9may

wow , you know , i think he was being truthfull with you folks .. i don't know any of you , and i wasn't there ... but can any of you tell me what you did to help get a better TA, other than sitting on your asses?

Who do you think is going to bring you a better TA ? Santa clause? HO HO HO ....

You know i don't remember any protest video's coming out of PHL in the several years we had to host talks ... hmm i don't recall any work actions that made the news either 😛h34r: ... and you know it's funny , i didn't see any of you down here in PHX when we protested , numerous times i might add ...

i think all of the fight has gone out of you , you only have the courage to fight your own union who can't fire you ... that's it , where's your backbone for fighting this company ? did you leave it at home each and everyday you came into work ...

I don't have to worry about a strike because there will never be one ...

Freedom, please refresh us on exactly how PHX has fought? Like as in ever? Sorry Freedom but I don't count 'rants' on youtube where you stomp your feet and say you want any ole flimsy contract as anything more than talk if it's not backed up with the decency to fight for justice.

Please tell me how you agreed with the company in 2002 to pay such pathetic wages without a judge abrogation? You yourself agreed that you weren't worth more so don't blame PHL. And before you bust on PHL, whose pocket do you think your profit sharing check came out of?

I'm all for helping out you guys by sharing our profit sharing with you but many of us grow weary of PHX complaining about their predicament when they chose to agree with Parker to the very wages they are now complaining about. Was the fight in 2002 where you guys agreed to $15 the type of fight you are talking about and the fight that we are seeing from PHX right now?

My point in this thread is that it's very easy to blast away at another station. I suppose we can all do it. But instead of talking about PHL or PHX why don't we just stick to the issues and stand up against this company. Voting yes isn't standing up to Parker or United for that matter.

Here's real leadership and integrity

You know as well as I it starts 90 days before the amendable date and there have been contracts that have been negotiated to start on the amendable date.

Not all contracts get prolonged for years. Not to say this one won't but you never know?

Well Dylan , I don’t normally like to be this ROUGH , but sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves and do the dirty work …

Your grown men (and women) if you can’t handle an opinion from a nameless, faceless poster on the internet then I have little faith that these people would have voted yes or had the fortitude to carry that point of view as it got closer to the 8th .

As for your first point , you’ve made me delete everything I’ve just written as it’s not fit for this board …

This is where I’m going to sigh and simply disagree with you .

We here in PHX feel that if you wanted a better TA , we should have seen something from your side other than words .. I honestly felt when we first merged ,that you in the east would be quite a force to be reckoned with , that your strength would add on to ours to make us unstoppable .

But that didn’t happen .. You weren’t ready or willing to take ACTION .

And so here we are today .

Hear Yahh… “Oâ€â€¦

Not only did he… (MF) speak out against the T/A today…but he did so with the current AGC… Mr. J.R. in his presence!

Now… let’s talk about ba**s!

If only, the rest of the IAM leadership would follow his (M.F.’s) leadership…we would actually have “leadersâ€, and not individuals… seeking personal financial gain, from the ludicrous IAM officer compensation packages, that are being currently offered by the IAM 141!

Can ya’ll spell… S-E-L-L O-U-T ?

You’re Right. The main problem is the IAM is a for profit company no different then any other company. They want our money and nothing else. They have been in bed with the company for so long they have forgotten what it's like for us on the front line.
It is time to send them packing. I wish we could get a union from Europe where they burn main gear tires on the runway. Alas that will never happen here, they are so caught up in the bylaws they have forgotten history of unions. The fighting spirit has been taken out of the working man. It is time for an old fashion union strike. Clubs and guns.
Now is the time to remember the past, now is the time for action, now who’s with me? A union stands up for the working man, and doesn’t run scared because of a bylaw the time to strike is now.
We are so scared of rules and laws the history of unions have bypassed those laws and made a stand!
