We are about to go down a roomate I think. Huge room with a bathroom, it can be a safe haven for you guys who want to come out to the West!

I'll escort you downstairs!

Rescue 911 here......

URFF....I think you took that the wrong way......There are those who have never been but want to vote. His reference was to that. I've seen BF there.

Sugar, I'm sorry. I'm glad you go to the meetings!

Mike33,
Great research! Good work.
Been trying to explain this to some folks in person I plan on using it next time it comes up
RT
Roadtrip

Sometimes the obvious is the unforseen and that was our ( union lawyers ) mistake last time.

I'm no lawyer but everyone should read R Blochs' opinionated decision!!!!!! It's on the IAM website. Theeeyyy wont even explain it to us Why?

I think now we know why!!!!!!!!

Mike33,

I appreciate your post. The problem I still have with the language is that there are still ways around it. One way might be that US Air stock survives. Another way might be to somehow combine the two companies stocks and reissue under another ticker symbol. And lastly, the ruling that the old stock was wiped out by Bloch might have doomed COC forever. That was what I believe to be the legal maneuvering the company did to make the language mute.

Respectfully,

P. REZ

Should we throw out the sign again?

Us Piedmont boys have been through this before. The press is already throwing out this scenario. LAS and PHX do not fit in as hubs according to speculation. United is embedded like ticks out west. The only section of the US they lack is a major presence along the profitable east coast corridor. Remember when BWI was a mini-hub? LAS will lose hub status. PHX will go the way of PIT and become a RJ hub.
Think about it westies, Your only protection with a merger with UA will be to retain the existing protection of your west contract and live to negotiate alongside the east and the UA employees. EVERYONE will have Section 6 open in 2009.

That can be our new slogan!

WE'RE FINE TILL '09
VOTE NO!

Phx is not going to have much reduction if any at all. It actually passed PHl last year or so I in the nations fastest growing cities. LAS might have some pullback but again its another one of the fastest cities growing. The unique thing about LAS is might be the only place in the nation where you can have late night flights that operate profitably due to all the tourism/nightlife.

P. Rez,

Why is RR negotiating for the west instead of you? I thought the IAM offered you a job when the TWU high tailed it. You dropped off the face of the earth while RR emerged from nowhere. What gives?

Good point!

Las AND PHX are exploding like my bowell after a Chimi Changa.

How many hubs can you have out west? RJ's can be routed all across the west and midwest from PHX. Hell CLT has RJ routes to Texas!

wow rat tales , i didn't know we had such strong protection in our west contract that prevented a company from down sizing ? can you show me where in the west contract that we will be protected from any and all negative side effects of a merger ?....

you can take a look for it , but i doubt you'll find anything that says the west employee's may never be furlouged ....

if you guys on the EAST don't vote this in , they you can say hello to my little friend 60 day rule ..... that's right , kiss your entire airline career good bye , and it won't be coming back if you get cut ....

Rat Tales,

No, the IAM did not offer me a job, they offered TWU International $500,000. Look at LM report for IAM. I took a beating in PHX as the Prez always takes blame. The masses in PHX liked the TWU and wanted a vote. I have not fallen off the face of the earth either. I have been very vocal since returning to the ramp 2 years ago. I, as always, continue to help the membership any way I can.

Rattales,
NO say it ain't soo.. THERES no room in the redneck inn...

this sliding down the bid sheet has GOT TO STOP... WE DON'T HAVE THE WELCOME SIGN UP.. its all an illusion..

UA ramper call to clt = "hey this vido in ord what does 43 yrs get me on the ramp..

clt = "Your own office"

I say GO TO RDU >.. let pj feel some pains

My handle says it all bumped on the road bumped and on the road bumped again on the road I lived it

Keep thinking LAS, PHX will be safe in UAL merger! Keep thinking that when your living in LGA or some other god forsaken east coast station. Thats what we all thought when The company closed 4 hubs and other stations that got farmed out from a mergers!

History kids, we lived it and it going to repeat itself the question is will you fight or drop to your knees and let hemenway parker or tilton
screw you because you let contract language disapear.

You still have to wonder why the company wants it out so bad.......It's not the change of a new ticker symbol! it's that the stock was worthless after BK. A new ticker still encorperates two surviving stocks to make one...Look at the DL / NW deal. The ticker symbol would not change.

MSN Money
"Delta wants to acquire Northwest in a stock-swap deal that carries neither a cash payout nor the U.S. flight cuts Wall Street expected. Northwest

shareholders would get 1.25 Delta shares for every Northwest share they own."
Now that would be a change of control for NW assets/stock/employees everything.

If USairways stock survives in our deal, then I can't answer that one, but I firmly believe that we as Usairways won't survive. With our reputation? who would want to keep our name in a Global Airline.

"if you guys on the EAST don't vote this in , they you can say hello to my little friend 60 day rule ..... that's right , kiss your entire airline career good bye , and it won't be coming back if you get cut ...."

read the t/a the words prior to OEI which means after ratification.. the 60 day language isn't even applicable . because that language was PRIOR TO OEI .. the language

will be rendered useless
