I just checked the IAM web site. I submitted a few questions last week about this T/A and not only have I not received any reply to my questions but apparently they have not answered any questions since the 28th. You would think that with the vote coming up in a few days they would at least try to answer.

Ok, Roabilly, I remember that free drink post although it is buried now. What was it BBQ and free drinks? I'm always open to free drinks as I can travel for free also. A bunch of us should get together in June for the celebration of eliminating The Boss.

Well I only have one question here ……

In any merger with united , how does this BIG PICTURE , protect our East side workers from the 60 day rule ?

You know you east guys don’t want to actually come out and “admit†that your throwing your own people under the bus , but I’m telling you , once you say it , it’s so much easier …. We’re throwing our field stations under the bus here in the west ….. Try honesty , just try it …. Some of you are going to think I’m a D%^& in saying what I just did , but I think honesty is, at the least a sign of some respect …. I’m not going to lie to their faces .

Say it “we’re sacrificing hundreds maybe thousands of our workers to the sixty day rule so we can get better wages , because the current TA isn’t ENOUGH for us “

While your article is well written and factual sounding , I just doubt that you will continue to advocate for the united roll if this TA goes down , I think you’ll go back to your old section 6 …

In fact I urge our readers to review these past IAM threads , you’ll see that Tim here has changed positions slowly over time …I don’t think he truly knows where he’s going or where he wants fleet to go other than “TA not good enough “

I really didn't expect an answer but you would at least think they would update it. It just shows where we fall in their scheme of things.

Hey, wait a minute. I'm not coming down to designate drive but to celebrate. Roa said he's going to buy the drinks. I like free drinks.

Tim...

PM me ...'n let me know when yahh wanna come down tahh CLT...

We'll go frum there!

I want every EAST side worker to pay attention to his BIG picture , some of you , perhaps MANY of you may not be a part of that picture EVER …

What this is going to be akin to is Russian roulette , only the bullet Is your job , and unlike the real life game , the odds are far greater to those in the class two stations , the bottom echelon at CLT and PHL , and the smaller CLASS one cities that we never talk about ….

With this bullet you don’t come back , and if you did it would be pointless starting at day one pay after all of your years of hard work ….

But as always the choice is yours …. Remember , gambling doesn’t always pay off (COC)

I won’t ask any of you to join me in solidarity in voting yes for this because I think it’s obvious to the entire world that we would sell each other down river for almost nothing ….

So join me in saving yourselves from the worst provisions of your contract , your company used the 60 day rule to just CLEAR house last time … I can see them doing it again .

Vote yes , and spread the word ….

My information is put out for all to come to their own opinion. It is an opinion of dissent from the Union Bosses and I think finally convincing and shared by the majority. Time will tell though and the masses will decide. Nobody needs to go any further back than a couple pages and I think I said I'd 'personally' rather wait till 2009 and go into section 6 with United. I personally think that would be the best. The masses will decide though

Well I’m done for today , but hey furloughed guys , I think it’s plain for you to see what’s about to go down here … as I said , these people don’t care about you , and they don’t even care about the people they work with …

I’ve been cruel to you the last few nights in using you as an example , but I think now you can see why ….

Why don’t some of you explain to our current workers the joys of the 60 day rule ..

Gooday gentlemen.

Well Tim,

I "personally" would rather have my 8.5% now than gamble on the economy in 2010 and get inundated with another whole set of Joey pages then......

Any way you put it ,my point on the 60 day rule going away STILL stands , because this contract retires it .... you think it's later rather than sooner , ok fine think that ...

If that were true the TA would say "DELETED" for that section!!!

I think I read somewhere back where a poster wrote that if this T/A is voted down that we start trad. neg. in less than a year???

I beg to differ.....we would START tred. neg. at the END...like Dec 31.....of 2009....

I thought I saw somewhere that contractually the Company had to start negotiating the East CBA by July of '09 or snapbacks would take place. I looked again and now I can't find it. Can someoen verify if this is correct or incorrect?

wow , you know , i think he was being truthfull with you folks .. i don't know any of you , and i wasn't there ... but can any of you tell me what you did to help get a better TA, other than sitting on your asses?

I dunno Freedom. All you did was yell and stomp your feet and say "We ant a contract!" When do we want it? NOW!" You failed to mention that the contract should treat you with respect.

And for the record, Parker is VERY good as a businesman. He's making lots of money for himself and the shareholders. Of course the people that actually do the work get the shaft...
