Well the most frequent mantra from west pilots was, "you will be on loa 93 for life".   What say you now west pilots?
Thank you for ratifying the last puzzle piece to the Nic. That's what we say. See, we always knew a Nic inclusive JCBA would get ratified by you Easties.

Sir, your attorneys are no longer claiming the MOU is a JCBA, they are claiming you west pilots are innocent victims of your own stupidity.

Perhaps you can now  "re-file" your grievances to the Company asking them to publish a combined list with the NIC.  Good luck with that, they are done with all this mess, in fact dropped their appeal to the Ninth.  Your 98% positive vote for a new transition agreement, combined with the M/B process pretty much just made Parker bulletproof in regards to seniority integration.  By the way, I look foward to the Lifetime Network Movie of the Week depicting when Michelle finally has to break the real truth to Russ.  You are not getting the NIC, nor any damages. The West Class is mere weeks away from being moot.  RR

You know USCABA said the MOU.......

Addendum. I didn't at all care what anyone "said", nor did I even bother to pay any attention to such. Only the most complete fools ever accept any hot air over what's actually printed in potential agreements. I simply took the time and trouble to read the thing, and subsequently voted against it, for a host of reasons not at all concerned with the nic. What's "you'se" even POSSIBLE excuse here?....That your group's supposedly illiterate, and thus, utterly incapable of translating printed material into actual thought? 🙂

west pilots, your attorneys in their latest legal briefs are claiming you were bamboozled, even though they advised you how to proceed all along the way.

Think about it.

Yes...interesting.    Your lawyers tell you to vote for the agreement.   Then turn around and say......My clients were suckered into voting for this....they really didn't want to.  We told them to vote for it,  but we really didn't mean it.   Can we get a seat at the table so we can train wreck this second merger?

The wacky Judge will indeed give them a ticket with assigned seating to M/B, but they will never make it into the theater.   Classic, always getting a ticket they cannot cash. RR

The west pilots ended up with america west airlines and not a major airline for a reason.  This reason affirms Darwins thoery of evolution.

Yeah, and to be done "not as a matter of law", but merely because "the west pilots prefer". Honestly; one simply could NOT even begin to make this stuff up.

Yeah....

ORDER OF THE COURT

Without regard to the law but in view of the facts, I Judge Silver find in favor of the plaintiffs and accordingly order the following:

Indeed. Such an outcome would certainly thwart even the remote possibility of a succcessful appeal. 🙂

An appeal to the Ninth would work, unless of course....... it's ripe 🙄 Oh nevermind, I don't know what I'm talking about.  DOH, Nic, seniority dart board on a wall, who knows.  The merger is proceeding, it's all good in the big picture.

The PI anti-nepotism policy went by the wayside in the early 1980s, about the same time they started hiring ex-Braniff, ex-TWA, etc. pilots.  TJ and his father were simultaneously employed by PI, if my memory serves correctly.  I agree that TJ was totally qualified and had competitive experience when he was hired.  A lot of fathers recommended their sons and daughters.

But nepotism at Allegheny/USAir was notorious.  You couldn't swing a dead cat in the PIT crew room without hitting some senior captain's kid in his shiny new uniform.
Yep, there was a lot of nepotism going on back then. Most of the sons and daughters hired were good folks but I do remember doing a some of primary instruction in the BAC-111. I did enjoy primary instruction but a BAC-111 full of pax should not have been the place to be doing it.

I guess my class was the exception to the nepotism because there were no pilot's relatives in my class although we had all been "adopted" by someone it just wasn't a legal adoption.

Cheers,

Bob
