What's new

THE IAM BOYS AND GIRLS DO NOT SAY MUCH ANY MORE.

The IAM has yet to file the brief they owe the NMB. Instead of fulfilling their obligation to the NMB, the IAM is engaging in scare tactics towards the stock clerks.

DID THE IAM DO ANY THING ABOUT THIS?????????????

MY UNION BACKS ME UP WHAT DO YOU HAVE?????????????????????

Don't let the facts get in your way!

ITS OK I HAVE ALL WEEKEND TO WAIT....................?

LOL AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE OUT THE NEXT DAY BUT THE UNION HELD OUT FOR THE TRUE NUMBER AND I KNOW YOU ARE NOT USE TO THIS BEING FROM THE IAM. (THE TRUE FACTS ARE OUT NOW).
SWEAT LITTLE MAN....LOLOL

Early smearly

Nothing official has been posted.

If an election happens the only thing that might help us from being decertified might be the write in vote.

The IAM has met any obligation under the time limits.

You have posted something that is over a month old and apparently the ibt has not kept you informed of what the NMB has required.

The IAM has!

IAM Merger Update

50%+1 One way or another. and a run off.= IBT 🙄

call the iam and tell them not to for get you.(The IAM has yet to file the brief they owe the NMB.)

2/28/06, still waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can you people be so confused?

First the NMB would love to screw the boys at a good union like the IAM with fools like the brotherHOOD. If you had the cards they would have started the screwing by now. Their----STILL WAITING!

Second stock clerks at us have been part of class and craft for over 50 years. a stock clerk could upgrade to mechanic and if laid off go back to clerk. again 50 years of history prove it.

Last the peeps at us aren't interested in a union that buries it's beloved yep we elected him leader in a place like the meadowlands. Poor taste at best. Prime example of your union at it's worst.

thats how the utility/parts pickers screw their fellow union brothers and from my past experience most of them cant even sump a fuel tank time for a change

Screw?

If they upgrade to mechanic they have to have thier tickets, and when you first started as a mechanic you did not know every job on every airplane.

Stock Clerk, Utility, Interiors, Tool Crib, Warehouse to A&P or Avionics...........not an issue isolated to the IAM. Kind of a double edged sword because of seniority. True, most A&P's or Avionics don't know everything right off the bat. But because it's all based on seniority/DOH, you can have a newbie bump an experienced mechanic during a bid or lay off. And yes, it creates some tension and bad feelings.........thus the "screw" job jetmech01890 refers to. Everyone has to learn somehow, somewhere.

T-bone, what is your utopian solution to the issues??

A newbie can't bump an experienced mechanic.

Each time you start in a particular classification you get a new classification date.

So if you start as utility then upgrade to stores or mechanic your utility start date does not carryover to the higher classification.

So if you have time in all three classifications you will have three differant classification dates.

Classification date is not DOH, it is the day you first started working in a particular classification.

Shift bidding, days off and layoffs are all done by classification date, not DOH. So a "newbie" junior mechanic cannot displace a senior mechanic.

Maybe where you are.......but not where I am/have been.

Wonder how it will all work now.......because of the merger.......many different scenarios exist.

The IAM CBA will be the surviving contract so it should be done the East way.

The ONLY way is DOH into classification PERIOD.. Thats the way it exists in the IAM contract and thats the only fair way! And why would the stock clerks want the ibt that negotiated a contract that tops out at $12.50 an hour. Thats Pathetic.
